SUMMARY:Exhibition: "The Danube fishermen"
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition “The Danube fishermen” will be open from the 4th February to 15th March in the Historical Museum of Serbia. Through more than 200 items the exhibition will present the development of fisheries in Belgrade but also in the wider Danube area.\nThe author of the exhibition\, Dr. Dušica Bojic will be guided a interested visitors through exhibition every Wednesday from 3 pm. \nCatch of fish. Recorded just before the First World War.\nVisitors will have the opportunity to learn about the development of fisheries in Belgrade but also in the wider Danube area through more than 200 items\, which include archival materials\, art works\, photos and fisherman’s equipment used over the centuries from the Neolithic period to the present day. \nDorćol in 1895Photo: Milan Jovanović\n\nThe exhibition “Danube fishermen” consists of two parts. The first part describes the everyday life of fishermen on the Danube through the various equipment used by fishermen\, while the second part is devoted to family Bogdanovic\, their life on Dorćol (the old Belgrade quarter)\, status in society and fostering the fishing as a family tradition.

DESCRIPTION:The 42nd International Film Festival – FEST is taking place from February 28th till March 9th at the Sava Center and other venues under the slogan “It’s not all black and white.”.\nFEST will be officially opened by Serbian film “The Cannon Was Hot” by Boban Skerlić and closed by the film “The blue is the hottest color” by Abdelatif Keşiş. \nThe audience will be able to see the premiere of 75 films. \nThe films by the festivals winners\, Oscar winners and greatest authors will be displayed in the main program. A cross-section of the American repertory film will be include in the part of program called “Hollywood”. \nThe films from countries outside of the European Union will be screened in the only competition program “Europe out of Europe”\, while the films created within the EU and co-productions created within the EU will be shown within the program “Europe”. \nThe program “In Focus” is dedicated to Scandinavian and Russian cinema\, and within a new program called “Fest Party” will be screened the film “Duran Duran” by David Lynch. \n42 FEST program can be found at www.fest.rs
